Efforts creating skilled manpower in ISP sector : First workshop organized in Sherpur
FTTH & System Engineers Bangladesh- a Facebook based ISP professionals’ organization has taken a unique initiative to create and increase nationwide skilled workforce in the ISP sector. In this regard, the organization is going to organize a series of district-based phase-wise workshops in the title of “TP-Link Digital Bangladesh Gori” across the country.
TP-Link, the world’s leading network product manufacturer, will provide support to implement this program. On the other hand, the Information and Communication Technology Industry Skills Council (ICT ISC) under the National Skills Development Authority of the Government of Bangladesh and Cyber Café Owners Association of Bangladesh (CCOAB) will serve as Associate Organizer.
As a part of this program, the first workshop was organized on Friday, October 26, at Hotel Ayser Inn, Sherpur for ISP proessionals from three districts of Sherpur, Jamalpur and Netrokona. Techno-Experts from ISP and ICT sectors of the country trained the participants there.
In the workshop, ICT ISC CEO Birendra Adhikary briefly summarized the activities of NSDA and ICT ISC to create skilled human resources. CCOAB President SM Zulfikar Haider alsol spoke on the occasion. FTTH Specialist Abul Hasnat Sohel conducted the workshop.
In the daylong workshop, sessions on technical learning issues of ISP setup, ISP automation & log server, ISP software, point-to-point radio, FTTH technology, TP-Link WiFi hotspot & controller based radio system, HIKVISION IP camera and GrandStream unified communications were presented respectively by Abdul Kader Linkon, Shariful Ehsan, Shakhawat Hossain Dolan, Russell Babu, Abul Hasnat Sohel, Antu Saha, Aninda Saha, Razu Ahmed, Jiang Han Dylan. Besides, SM Imrul Kayes has described the experience on TP-Link Wi-Fi routers, FTTH technology and the workshop.
